Spicy Feijoa Mocktail

Ingredients 

  • 6 feijoas, flesh scooped out
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • 8 mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons lime or lemon juice
  • 1-2 jalapenos (seeds removed, finely diced)
  • 1 scoop of ice cubes

Garnish

  • Lime slices
  • Red chilli powder & salt for the rim of the glass
  • Mint leaves

Method

  1. Sprinkle the salt and red chilli pepper onto a shallow dish. Cut a slit in a lime, rub it along the rim of the glass. Roll the rim of the glass in the salt and chilli powder to coat
  2. Fill the glasses with ice cubes and set aside
  3. In a blender add feijoas, apple juice, lime or lemon juice, mint leaves, jalapenos and a few ice cubes. Blend until smooth
  4. Pour into prepared glasses. Stir well, garnish with lime slices and fresh mint leaves and enjoy
